(FMHAD)
1st ANNUAL COMMUNITY (FMHAD) FAMILY MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS DAY
Why Is This the Right Time?
BBA Miami recognizes that conventional treatments may not always deliver the necessary relief to help individuals conquer depression, anxiety, and other mental health challenges affecting today’s youth and their families.
This is why we are determined to BREAK THE MEN-TAL HEALTH STIGMA (BMTHS) through a groundbreaking approach specifically designed to create a meaningful impact on the lives of today’s youth and their families.
We are unwavering in our commitment to mental wellness, continually leading the way in innovative approaches to awareness, and ensuring that today’s youth and their families receive the most cutting-edge and effective care possible. We are firmly dedicated to fostering and educating a community that champions mental wellness, breaks down stigma, and empowers individuals with innovative approaches to access support proactively. Join us in empowering today’s youth and their families as they navigate their mental health journey—we are committed to walking beside them toward lasting well-being and a meaningful life. “Together, We Walk Beside Them”
FMHD (Family Mental Health Awareness Day) is your opportunity to join us in a calming environment where you can relax, enjoy engaging games and puzzles, partake in exciting giveaways, and connect through meaningful conversations. An organization led by individuals with personal family experiences in mental health, dedicated to providing support and guidance to other families.
This event welcomes everyone, including individuals facing mental illness, families and caregivers, children, teens, young adults, veterans, and those living with PTSD. At BBA Miami, we take pride in empowering individuals to support and uplift others. We love helping people, helping people, by revolutionizing access to mental healthcare by seamlessly connecting clients with qualified, therapists.
It’s time to Build, Invest, Support, Create, and Act, our work has never been more important in helping today’s youth and their families recognize when they need help. Our goal during our event is to get them thinking about the questions that will be asked during our event:
(Do you think you might need help with your mental health?)
Everyone should have access to personalized therapy. Therapists should be able to serve the communities they care about, not just the 10% who can afford to pay out of pocket.
Vision
BBA Miami envisions a future with communities where everyone receives equitable support to heal and thrive.
Mission
BBA Miami creates hope and supports paths to recovery by promoting whole-person care.
Along with our vision, mission, and values, we have some guiding philosophies of what we look for in working with any organization. Who offer community-based services to the community that strive to provide accommodations that make receiving care a smooth process.
Let’s not be judgmentally, together we can all (ALGEE):
Assess for risk of suicide or harm
Listen non-judgmentally
Give reassurance and information
Encourage appropriate professional help
Encourage self-help and other support strategies
