“Where Hope Meets Healing — Empowering Women, Families, and Communities Across Miami-Dade, and Homestead Florida”

Welcome to the Martha Breast Cancer Foundation

The Martha Breast Cancer Foundation (MBCF) operates as a proud division of Brooklyn Basketball Academy (BBA Miami), uniting purpose, compassion, and community under one mission — to uplift and empower women and families throughout Miami-Dade County and the City of Homestead. Founded to honor the spirit of resilience, love, and strength, MBCF is dedicated to advancing breast cancer awareness, early detection, patient support, and wellness advocacy across South Florida. Our vision is to become the premier breast cancer awareness and support initiative in the region, reaching thousands of women and low-income families each year through meaningful events, educational workshops, and comprehensive support programs. At MBCF, we believe that no one should ever face this journey alone.

“No matter where you are in your journey, we can help.”

We walk, run, and rise together — because in this race, no one is behind; every step forward lifts us all. Our survivors inspire us daily:

“Survivors don’t just run — they lead the way.”
“She runs with power, we run with purpose — together we rise.”
“For every survivor, every fighter, every brave heart — we run beside you.”

When hearts unite, healing begins — and at MBCF, community is our greatest strength, and love is the finish line. Together with BBA Miami, we’re building a future of hope, health, and empowerment — one family, one survivor, and one community at a time.

Mission Statement

The Martha Breast Cancer Foundation (MBCF) exists to uplift, educate, and empower women and families affected by breast cancer. Our mission is to provide compassionate support, health and wellness resources, and life-changing education that fosters healing, hope, and community connection. Through outreach, wellness programs, and survivor mentorship, MBCF ensures that no woman walks alone through her journey — from diagnosis to recovery and beyond.

                                                                                                    What We Do

Awareness & Education: We host community workshops, school outreach, and public events throughout Miami-Dade and Homestead, teaching the importance of early detection, self-exams, and access to screening resources.

Patient Support & Wellness: From diagnosis to recovery, MBCF provides emotional support, mentorship, and wellness programs that help women and their families navigate every stage of their journey with confidence and care.

Community Empowerment: We partner with local organizations, healthcare providers, and sponsors like Walmart, BBA Miami, and community leaders to ensure no woman fights breast cancer alone.

Events That Inspire: Through our signature “Never Run Alone” events and awareness campaigns, we bring survivors, families, and supporters together — celebrating courage, honoring loved ones, and raising funds to expand our mission.
